Hi, I’m Jenny
Jennifer DeWitt, MSW, LCSW
Founder & Therapist at The Quiet Mind Clinic
If you've found your way here, chances are anxiety, OCD, or overwhelming thoughts have been taking up more space in your life than you'd like. I'm glad you're here.
I specialize in helping teens and adults navigate anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and postpartum anxiety. My goal is to help you understand what you're experiencing, develop effective tools, and create more freedom in your daily life.
My path to becoming a therapist began in social work, where I supported individuals and families by helping connect them with resources and services. While I valued that work, I realized I wanted to do something more direct—I wanted to sit with people, build meaningful relationships, and help them create lasting change.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting people in many different settings, including community mental health, school-based counseling, in-home counseling, foster care, and private practice. These experiences have shaped the way I practice today and have taught me the importance of meeting people where they are while providing compassionate, practical support.
I have also had the opportunity to help build and grow private practices, including developing a group practice with a team of therapists. While I am proud of that work, I eventually realized that what I love most is the therapy itself—the conversations, the connections, and helping clients make meaningful changes in their lives. Creating The Quiet Mind Clinic allows me to focus my time and energy on what matters most: providing thoughtful, individualized care.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices to help clients build confidence and respond differently to anxiety and uncertainty. I believe therapy can be effective while still feeling comfortable, conversational, and even a little fun.
Outside of therapy, I'm a mom of three and a lifelong animal lover. My home includes two dogs, a cat, a chinchilla, and chickens—so there is never a shortage of personality (or activity!) around here.
Whether you're feeling stuck in worry, overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, or ready to stop letting anxiety make decisions for you, I'd be honored to help you find a quieter mind and a fuller life.
